Sumi-e is Asian ancient art with its origins in calligraphy and line drawing. It is a Japanese painting style painting with ink on rice paper. It’s fascinating to see how different atmospheres and images of nature subjects are painted with just a few accurate brush strokes. The power of simplicity is characteristic for Sumi-e painting: to create a maximum of imagination with just a few brushstrokes.
